Tammy Lautz, Regional Manager for CHP Property Management, is responsible for the daily oversight of a 252-unit affordable housing community in Virginia Beach and supervisory oversight of an additional five communities in the Yorktown, Virginia area. Her responsibilities include staff management, resident relations, budget oversight and physical operations. Tammy is also working to help transition one community through a multi-million dollar renovation while supervising the balance of her portfolio.
Before joining the CHP team, Tammy worked at Elderly Housing Management/New Samaritan Corporation for over twenty-eight years. She spent the last 13 years of her tenure with those organizations serving in the role of Vice President of Property Management. She is most proud of the work she did in her final years redeveloping several older properties using a combination of government funded housing programs, community recapitalization, and private grant funding with a focus on improving the quality of life for senior residents in those communities.
Tammy holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Western Connecticut State University and has hundreds of hours of training in property management, asset management, grant writing, supportive services for seniors and understanding the aging spectrum. Her industry designations include NCHM-COS, NCHM-COSRRH, NCHM-FHR, NCHM-CMM, NCHM-CMH, NeighborWorks Asset Management, NEAHMA Fair Housing Certified.
