As the holiday season approaches, Community Housing Partners (CHP) is once again spreading warmth and joy to senior residents and adults with special needs at CHP communities across Virginia and Maryland through its Warm Wishes program. This annual initiative provides essential items and heartfelt gifts while strengthening the sense of community that defines CHP’s mission.

Resident receiving their Warm WishesThis year, Warm Wishes will serve 29 CHP apartment communities, bringing festive gift bags valued at around $30 each and cold weather essentials to residents. Community members can participate by making monetary donations through the Warm Wishes webpage until November 25, 2025. Contributions help provide meaningful gifts that brighten the holidays for residents and remind them that they are part of a caring community.

Last year, the generosity of donors and volunteers made it possible for Warm Wishes to reach 24 CHP communities. More than 160 residents were directly adopted by donors, while funds raised, totaling $3,581, helped ensure that 494 residents received personal gifts. The program’s success was made possible by 41 volunteers who contributed more than 50 hours to shopping, wrapping, and delivering presents.

CHP resident receiving their Warm Wishes“Warm Wishes has become such a special tradition for our residents and staff,” said Stacy Taylor, Resident Services Program Developer. “Each year, we see how even the smallest acts of kindness can make someone feel remembered and valued. It’s a simple way of showing care that brings joy and real necessities to our communities.”

CHP extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who helps make Warm Wishes possible and invites others to join in brightening the holidays for our neighbors. To learn more or make a donation, visit the Warm Wishes webpage.
