Bettie Davis Apartments
Bettie S. Davis Village in Suffolk, Virginia, provides 60 units of affordable rental housing to low-income senior and disabled citizens earning at or below 60% of the area median income, including those with federal Section 8 housing vouchers. Built in 1983, the community underwent weatherization updates in 2009 to improve its energy efficiency, including the installation of all-new gutters, downspouts, ENERGY STAR windows, exterior doors, fiber-cement board siding, kitchen appliances, water heaters, and HVAC system.
