CHP’s Witter Place Apartments will offer affordable apartments in Alexandria, Virginia. Located on the corner of Duke Street and Telegraph Road and overlooking the Witter soccer fields, Witter Place will feature 94 apartments for residents with close access to recreation, transportation, shopping, and employment. A single building will have two- and three-bedroom rental units, leasing offices, a community room and business office, indoor bicycle storage, underground parking, free in-unit WiFi, resident telehealth, and other amenities.
The new community will help address a critical need for affordable rental options in Northern Virginia. CHP will make significant improvements to the site, including streetscape enhancements along Duke Street and Witter Drive and a pedestrian connection between the two. The exterior of the building will feature an intricate metal tracery accent wall and two large public art murals, and CHP will pursue EarthCraft green building certification for the development.
