I am Stephanie Best, Property Manager here at Townsquare at Dumfries. I have been in property management for about 17 years and I specialize in affordable housing. I have worked at a range of properties, from rural development, project-based section 8, and tax credit, to high-rise, mid-rise, and garden style. My experience is well-rounded.

How long have you been managing this property?

I have been managing Townsquare for almost 3 years.

What makes this property unique or distinctive within the community?

I think a lot of people are drawn to us because we’re fairly new and our prices are better than other properties around us. Our product is a lot better too. Each unit has full size-washers and dryers, and the vinyl wood flooring draws people in.

Calm, Quiet, and Comfortable.

What’s the most unique feature of this property that residents love?

Our residents really enjoy the resident services we bring to the table, with the clubhouse and the after school programs and all the other activities that resident services provides for the kids.

Can you share any success stories or positive feedback from residents?

We have one resident who says that every time she comes into the office, everyone is very pleasant and respectful, and when she has an issue, we get it fixed right away. Our maintenance staff is always polite and they’re fast with fixing her work orders. She loves living somewhere so quiet and peaceful.

Our residents just want to be heard. They want us to listen when they have an issue. I think listening is the first step of de-escalating. Let them get it out, and then after they have, we can find a solution.

What is something you like or appreciate about the community?

We have a great group here as far as staff goes. I think everybody is so well-rounded and connected to the community that we can all jump in and help anybody with anything.
