Please introduce yourself and share a bit about your background in property management.
My name is Terri Brown. I have been in property management for 16 years. I joined the CHP family in June 2024 as the property manager at Linden Green Apartments.
What makes this property unique or distinctive within the community?
Linden Green is a beautiful property, and I am blessed to have a great on-site team. Tammy, our Assistant Manager, works hard to educate residents about recertifications and why they are important here or anywhere else they may live. Caleb and Tyler, our Maintenance Technicians, strive to complete work orders in a timely manner so residents are well taken care of. Morgan, our Resident Services Coordinator, is based here at Linden Green and has truly made a difference in the community. We offer a food pantry, after-school programs, daily dinners for children, holiday events—the list goes on.
Our residents also look out for one another. In the summer, you can come onto the property and see kids playing outside while their parents are often outside with them.
If the property had a personality, how would you describe it in a few words?
Active, thriving, and social
What’s the most unique feature of this property that residents love?
Residents love the strong sense of community at Linden Green.
Can you share any success stories or positive feedback from residents?
We have families who are working toward homeownership and are excited about the new possibilities ahead. In the past, the property wasn’t fully staffed, which was difficult for residents. Now, residents share how happy they are to have repairs completed promptly. We also see more pride in their homes during inspections.
Can you share a life hack or a clever solution you’ve discovered for common resident needs?
Educate the residents. Help set them up for success. Be consistent with them.
What is something you like or appreciate about the community?
I appreciate the teamwork and camaraderie. I enjoy seeing Elevation Church, the YMCA, VT football players, and others partner with the community—the list goes on. These acts of service inspire residents and encourage them to take more pride in their community. I also love watching the children grow on their educational and personal journeys.
What qualities make this property a great place to call home?
CHP’s ownership and management are major strengths of this property. There were things that needed improvement, and CHP made those changes happen. We updated the laundry room, and our residents love it! Our on-site staff also makes Linden Green special. Each of us takes pride in our work, and the compassion the team brings to carrying out CHP’s mission and vision truly shows.
