My name is Carri Fenton, and I’ve been working in property management for more than 20 years. I’m also a former Army veteran. I joined Community Housing Partners in October 2025 and have really enjoyed being part of the team. In addition to managing Hunt Ridge, I also assist other CHP communities with recertifications when needed.

How long have you been managing this property, and what do you enjoy most about managing it?

I’ve been at Hunt Ridge since October 2025. What I enjoy most is our residents—they’re amazing. We have a great community, and residents are generally very engaged and cooperative. I also genuinely enjoy working for CHP. After many years in the industry, I can honestly say it’s one of the best companies I’ve worked for. Everyone is treated like a person rather than a number, and whenever you need support, there’s always someone willing to help.

What makes this property distinctive within the community?

I think what stands out most is the care that goes into maintaining the property and supporting our residents. We work hard to create a welcoming, well-maintained community, and our small team works very well together. We always try to do everything we can to support our residents and make Hunt Ridge a community where people feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

The property itself is unique as well. The apartment homes are spacious, many include balconies or patios, and each unit has its own dedicated storage bin—something I’ve never seen at another property. Combined with our convenient location just minutes from shopping and downtown Lexington, Hunt Ridge offers a great balance of comfort, convenience, and community.

Structured, organized, and loyal.

What feature or aspect of the property do residents appreciate most?

Residents appreciate how clean and orderly the community is, as well as the property’s convenient location. The apartment homes are larger than many others in the area, and each unit has its own private storage space, which is a feature you don’t often see. Residents are also excited about the upcoming rehabilitation project and the improvements it will bring to the community.

Can you share a moment or piece of feedback that reflects a positive resident experience?

One experience that stands out involved a resident who had been staying in a rehabilitation center and had fallen behind on several things while he was away. I was able to help get everything back in order and support his return home. Moments like that remind me why this work is so important. My residents know I care about them and that I’ll do everything I can to help when they need support.

Building trust and maintaining open communication goes a long way. I always try to be honest with residents, listen to their concerns, and help them find solutions. When residents know you’re willing to work with them and advocate for them when needed, it creates stronger relationships and a more positive community.

What do you appreciate most about the surrounding community or neighborhood?

One of the things I appreciate most is our location. We’re just minutes from shopping, Walmart, downtown Lexington, and local employers, which makes daily life convenient for our residents. We have the benefit of being close to everything people need while still maintaining a comfortable community atmosphere.

From your perspective, what makes this property a great place to call home?

What makes Hunt Ridge special is the people. We have wonderful residents, a dedicated team, and a community where people genuinely care about one another. We work hard to keep the property clean, organized, and well-maintained, and we always try to do what’s best for our residents. As we prepare for our upcoming rehabilitation, we’re excited about the future and continuing to make Hunt Ridge a place our residents are proud to call home.
