Breaking Ground

In 2024, CHP broke ground on Stroubles Ridge, which occupies 24 acres on Merrimac Road in Blacksburg, Virginia. “At CHP, we’re committed to building strong communities and providing affordable homeownership opportunities,” said Jake Powell, CHP’s Director of Homeownership. “Stroubles Ridge is a great example of this approach. By converting all homes into New River Home Trust units, we’re not just building houses. We’re building a neighborhood where residents can invest in their future and feel a sense of belonging.”
