Community Housing Partners (CHP), a member of the national NeighborWorks network, announced that it received a $435,000 grant from NeighborWorks America. This funding will support CHP’s efforts to develop and preserve affordable housing and revitalize communities throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

It allows us to implement innovative solutions and engage more deeply with the communities we serve, ensuring that we can adapt to the challenges and opportunities that arise.”

This grant includes $245,000 in capital funding to support CHP’s real estate development activities. In recognition of its 45th anniversary, NeighborWorks America is awarding $75.7 million in grants to the nearly 250 nonprofits that comprise the NeighborWorks network. This flexible, unrestricted funding is meant to increase access to affordable homes and ensure residents are safe and healthy in thriving communities across the United States.

In fiscal year 2023, NeighborWorks America and the NeighborWorks network generated $9.95 billion in direct investment in communities across the country. NeighborWorks also provided 111,600 housing and counseling services, created 16,300 new homeowners, owned and/or managed 204,600 quality, affordable rental homes, and created and/or maintained 45,240 jobs.
