Lesley joined CHP’s Utility Programs team as a consultant in 2019. Previously, she spent nine years with the highly successful Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she was Executive Director. Lesley is a nonprofit professional who has cultivated expertise in the operations of an energy alliance, especially in working with utility programs. She has held many leadership and communications roles with nonprofits including The Thomas Jefferson Foundation (Monticello), the GreenBlue Institute, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Lesley has sat on many boards and organizations including the Dominion Energy Virginia EnergyShare Customer Advisory Board, the Virginia Energy Efficiency Council, the Charlottesville Affordable Housing Committee, and the Multi-Family Energy Efficiency Coalition. She has a B.A. from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College.
From our roots as a volunteer organization serving housing needs in Appalachia, CHP has grown into a multi-state organization nationally recognized for our capabilities and commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. Although CHP’s footprint has greatly expanded over the decades, our mission continues to focus on creating homes and communities that are healthy, sustainable, and affordable.
