CHP will prioritize decarbonization activities that are under organizational control through business operations and asset management.

How we’ll do it

  • Prioritize decarbonization on CHP’s owned portfolio through 1) Energy Solutions retrofit work; 2) Asset Management capital improvements; and 3) Real Estate Development comprehensive rehabs (LIHTC rehabs).
  • Prioritize utility monitoring and benchmarking to effectively evaluate decarbonization efforts.
  • Utilize low-impact modular construction practices, starting with single-family development. 
  • Evaluate the use of electric vehicles for corporate and business fleet.
  • Explore opportunities for the installation of solar arrays on CHP offices and properties.

CHP will put systems and processes in place to assist residents and clients in reducing carbon emissions.

How we’ll do it

  • Prioritize building technologies in both multifamily and single-family development projects that result in energy efficient units and homes.
  • Provide homeowner and/or tenant education around energy efficiency and energy usage behaviors.
  • Provide opportunity for and access to electric vehicles for CHP residents, i.e. Zip cars and electric charging stations.
  • Provide opportunity for and access to solar energy for CHP residents, i.e. community solar projects.
