Dedication of CHP's First Kentucky Property

July 31 marked the dedication of CHP’s first multi-family property in Kentucky. Developed in partnership with Frontier Housing, Inc., the CHP-designed and constructed Boodry Place is located in downtown Morehead, with 32 one- and two-bedroom units. This
affordable, multi-generational community is home to both senior citizens and families that have children with disabilities.

Boodry Place utilizes universal design to promote accessibility and livability for individuals of all ages and abilities. The community
incorporates other unique features such as community spaces for health screenings and therapeutic services for physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as a green space that boasts a playground for children of all abilities.

In keeping with CHP’s commitment to environmentally-responsible design, the community’s high-performance buildings also incorporate many green design/build elements that help reduce utility consumption and improve the residents’ quality of life. Such
features include energy and water conservation measures; durable building materials and finishes; advanced framing techniques; low-VOC paints and finishes; and ENERGY STAR appliances and windows.
