CHP Welcomes New VP of Development
Community Housing Partners (CHP) is excited to announce the appointment of John Henry to the position of Vice President of Development.
Henry comes to CHP with extensive housing and commercial development experience, having most recently served as Executive Director of the Humanities Foundation, a nonprofit community development organization that develops tax credit projects in South Carolina. Prior to this position, Henry was founder and principal of a company that focused
on the development of retail shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic region. He graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in both history and political science and earned his law degree from Washington and Lee University.
It was during his stint as legal representative for housing lenders in Washington, DC that Henry discovered his passion for providing affordable, quality homes to low-income families and individuals. “I became very aware of the need for affordable housing, and enjoyed being able to help people realize their homeownership or rental needs. And that is why I was ultimately attracted to Community Housing Partners,” said Henry. “CHP’s mission to create affordable, green housing opportunities for people and communities mirrored my own personal interests and convictions. This organization is able to positively impact the community because of its size, strength, and depth of experience, and I am happy to be a part of such a successful team,” Henry added.
CHP Executive Vice President and COO Orlando Artze agrees that Henry is well-suited for his new position with the company. “We’re delighted to have John join our Development Department. His talents and experience wilI be a real asset to CHP,” said Artze.
Henry may be contacted in our Richmond office at 804-343-7201 ext. 14, or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
