CHP Resident Services Receives $15,000 Bank of America Grant

Richmond, Va. - Investing in the future success of our residents has always been at the core of Community Housing Partners' (CHP) mission. During 2006, we provided resident services at 32 of our 69 properties, created seven resident leadership councils, implemented 16 on-site after school programs and prevented six evictions resulting in approximately $6,000 in savings to housing management.

In June, CHP's resident services division received additional support through a $15,000 grant from Bank of America. This vital funding will support our resident services division’s efforts to provide educational programs, community building events and supportive services to our residents. From January to June 2007, CHP has already provide 13,833 units of services to both adults and youth living at our properties.

Debbie Markwood, CHP's Director of Resident Services, said, "Thanks to Bank of America’s support, CHP will continue to meet the needs of our residents and work toward the ultimate goal of resident self-sufficiency. We look forward to continuing this partnership with Bank of America."
