Jeffrey Reed Recognized for Outstanding Performance by a CFO
CHP is pleased to announce that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jeffrey Reed recently received the Virginia CFO Award for a Large Nonprofit Organization from Virginia Business magazine. During Reed’s tenure with CHP, the organization’s assets have grown 385 percent, while its revenue has increased 220 percent. A key player in CHP’s growth, Reed’s financial leadership has helped organization become one of the best-performing in its field in the nation.
"It was a great honor to be recognized by Virginia Business, but most of the credit for CHP’s success is due to our 400 employees that work every day serving our clients. We are all dedicated to providing affordable housing to those who need it most, and this passion drives our commitment to quality," said Reed.
Reed has been with CHP for over ten years and has more than twenty years of experience in financial management. He is responsible for the oversight of all accounting and asset management for CHP, which controls more than $200 million in assets with annual revenues of over $46 million. As CFO, Reed provides financial and budget oversight for more than 90 legal entities, involving 70 annual audits and more than 80 tax returns. His duties also include financial compliance, risk management, cash flow projections, and feasibility analysis. In addition, Reed oversees CHP's real estate development, architecture, and construction departments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Radford University.
Four other CFOs were also recognized by Virginia Business for their outstanding performance in for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
