Turning Homeownership Dreams Into Reality

Christiansburg, Va. – Thanks to a $12,000 grant from Wells Fargo Charitable Giving Program, CHP's homeownership department will be able to educate more individuals and families about the process of buying a home and how to maintain their purchase -- both financially and physically -- for the long term.
The grant will help facilitate our New River Valley  pre- and post-homeownership counseling and education activities, which include information on credit and personal finance, budgeting, qualifying for a home loan, negotiating a purchase, applying for a mortgage, loan closing, and home maintenance and repair.
Since 1989, C HP has provided homebuyers the convenience and ease of "one-stop shopping" by offering a team of homeownership professionals working within the same company to meet client needs.   "Our counseling and education services enable moderate-income and first-time homebuyers to achieve the dream of successful homeownership," stated CHP housing counselor Ryan Stenger. To get more information on free homebuyer classes offered by CHP in the New River Valley, area residents may call (540) 260-9039 or email ownahome@chpc2.org.
