Turning Homeownership Dreams Into Reality
Christiansburg, Va. – Thanks to a $12,000 grant from Wells Fargo Charitable Giving Program, CHP's homeownership department will be able to educate more individuals and families about the process of buying a home and how to maintain their purchase -- both financially and physically -- for the long term.
The grant will help facilitate our New River Valley pre- and post-homeownership counseling and education activities, which include information on credit and personal finance, budgeting, qualifying for a home loan, negotiating a purchase, applying for a mortgage, loan closing, and home maintenance and repair.
Since 1989, C HP has provided homebuyers the convenience and ease of "one-stop shopping" by offering a team of homeownership professionals working within the same company to meet client needs. "Our counseling and education services enable moderate-income and first-time homebuyers to achieve the dream of successful homeownership," stated CHP housing counselor Ryan Stenger.
