CHP Ranked Among Largest Affordable Multifamily Property Managers in U.S.

Christiansburg, Va. – Community Housing Partners (CHP), a nonprofit Community Development Corporation based in Christiansburg, Virginia, has been listed as one of the nation’s largest affordable multifamily property managers by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA).

A nonprofit organization whose mission is to create affordable, green, sustainable housing opportunities and related services for low-income individuals and families in the southeast, CHP currently owns and/or manages 5,657 affordable housing units at 97 multifamily properties across Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Florida. Populations served in these communities include families, older adults, persons with special needs, and the formerly homeless.

NAHMA recently released the "NAHMA Affordable 100," a list of 100 largest affordable multifamily property managers, ranked by affordable unit counts. The "Affordable 100," created in an effort to accurately determine the size of the portfolio of affordable multifamily units receiving federal subsidy in the United States, lists affordable units containing at least one of following federal subsidies: HUD Project-based Assistance, Section 42 LIHTC, HOME funds, bonds and USDA Section 515.
