CHP a Participant in Richmond's Affordable Housing Awareness Week
Richmond, Va. - To highlight the growing need for housing in the Richmond Metropolitan area, Community Housing Partners (CHP) and 14 other local non-profit housing organizations are partnering together to hold Affordable Housing Awareness Week on April 23 -28. Throughout the week, volunteers in the Richmond area will participate in "A Day's Work for Workforce Housing," helping nonprofits build and repair homes for neighbors in need. The purpose of this initiative is to not only bring attention to the issues surrounding housing affordability, but to also encourage area professionals to get involved with the groups that support these causes.
CHP employees will be performing landscaping work at the site of a single-family home renovation project, which will be listed for sale through CHP Realty, LLC. For more information about the home, located at 2811 Griffin Avenue, contact Yolonda Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“CHP knows decent, affordable housing is important to families and neighborhoods. It contributes to the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of residents while also strengthening the greater community,” said CHP Housing Counselor Schirra Hayes. “We proudly participate in Affordable Housing Awareness Week each year because it helps educate the public about the need for affordable housing and provides a great opportunity for people to make a visible difference in their community.”
