Washington Gas Invests in Energy AuditsPosted on Jun 13th, 2011
Christiansburg, Va. - Community Housing Partners (CHP) is pleased to announce it was awarded $495,000 from Washington Gas to support energy auditor training, which will assist low-income families throughout Virginia.
The funds are part of Washington Gas Light Company's Conservation and Ratemaking Efficiency (CARE) plan for residential customers which includes a Low Income Energy Assistance Program. The funds will be used for the energy auditor training program offered by CHP through the New River Center for Energy Research and Training (NRCERT).
"We are extremely grateful to partners like Washington Gas for their generous funding support," said Bill Beachy, CHP Vice President of Energy Services. "Together we will be able to serve more low-income families who are struggling with rising energy costs throughout the state of Virginia."
