Cedar Hill Homes in Blacksburg, Virginia

Cedar Hill Homes in Blacksburg, Virginia, comprise 10 single-family houses only moments away from historic downtown and the Virginia Tech campus. Located in an established neighborhood, these homes boast environmentally-responsible design and construction, and were built to ENERGY STAR standards. Green elements include energy and water-saving appliances and fixtures throughout the homes, hardwood or bamboo flooring, fiber cement siding, and porous concrete driveways.

The homes range in size from 1,392 to 1,416 sq. ft. Preference is given to low- to moderate-wealth  applicants in the immediate area of Blacksburg, Christiansburg or Montgomery County who earn at or below 80% of the Area Median Income.

The Town of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech’s Marching Virginians band, and CHP teamed up to build the development’s first home in memory of former Marching Virginians’ member and Virginia Tech student, Ryan Clark. CHP donated the land, designed the eco-friendly home, coordinated construction, and arranged the financing. The two-week long “speed build” culminated in a special dedication ceremony that included local dignitaries, the new homeowner, Clark’s family, student volunteers, and CHP staff.
