Kim Strahm works to build and enhance Community Housing Partners’ (CHP) impact through oversight of organizational operations that further CHP’s strategic commitments and core values. Kim provides direction and leadership for many of CHP’s cross-departmental strategic initiatives and she seeks and coordinates collaborative partnerships that further CHP’s decarbonization goals, its commitment to improving health outcomes, and the advancement of equity and inclusion priorities throughout all operations and areas of service. Kim’s responsibilities include oversight of CHP’s communications, resource and partner development, impact data analysis, and program evaluation. She also helps lead CHP’s Equity & Inclusion Team.

Kim began her employment at CHP in early 2010 as project manager for a nearly $4 million U.S. Department of Labor Energy Training grant. Before joining CHP, Kim was with Cornell University’s Real Estate Department and she spent six years at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle where she was responsible for managing multiple affordable housing grant programs for low-income families across an eight-state region. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

From our roots as a volunteer organization serving housing needs in Appalachia, CHP has grown into a multi-state organization nationally recognized for our capabilities and commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. Although CHP’s footprint has greatly expanded over the decades, our mission continues to focus on creating homes and communities that are healthy, sustainable, and affordable.
