In celebration of 40 years of service, CHP launched an employee service campaign called 40 for 40 in April 2015. The initiative, which began on Earth Day and ended August 31, was designed to engage all of CHP’s 400 staff members in at least one of 40 acts of service scheduled across CHP’s footprint in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Florida—at least one for each year that CHP has been in operation. By the end of the summer, more than 40 acts of service were completed, with service activities ranging from donating blood, coordinating a food drive, planting a community garden, and more.
