CHP empowers low-income people to live in healthy and sustainable affordable surroundings. In 2015, we were ranked as one of the nation’s Top 50 Affordable Housing Developers by Affordable Housing Finance magazine and listed by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) as one of the 101 largest affordable multifamily property managers in the U.S. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) social enterprise providing community development services in the southeastern United States.
CHP's activities include sustainable development, architectural design, construction, energy training and research, emergency home repair, weatherization, homeownership, housing management, and resident programming. These efforts, in concert with public and private partnerships, enable us to create and sustain communities that promote vitality in neighborhoods, foster wealth-building for individuals, and contribute to a better environment for future generations.
