Sunset Apartments is an affordable housing community in Gainesville, Florida. There are 24 two-bedroom units and 16 three-bedroom units, rented to those earning at or below 60% of the area median income. Refurbished in 2005, renovations include new heating and cooling systems, carpeting, kitchen cabinets, and interior and exterior paint. A new community center provides common areas for free residential services programs such as after-school programming for resident youths, adult literacy education, workforce development, and a food pantry.
