In 2011, CHP:
• Educated and trained over 1,500 people on affordable
housing and energy efficiency practices
• Acquired 64 units of affordable rental housing
• Designed 272 units of affordable, sustainable housing
• Rehabilitated 275 units and constructed 84 new
units of affordable multifamily rental housing
• Provided weatherization services to over 1,064 families
• Provided heating and cooling assistance for 622 households
• Provided home energy repairs for 69 households
• Assisted 22 families in becoming first-time homeowners
• Educated 36 families on buying a home and 17 on maintaining their homes
• Sold 16 homes through CHP's Realty services, including five CHP-developd homes
• Delivered 61,480 units of resident service

Community Housing Partners (CHP) is a 501(c)(3) community
development corporation that serves the needs of low-wealth and low-income
individuals and families in the southeast. Our mission is to create
affordable, green, sustainable housing opportunities and services for
the people and communities we serve.
Since 1975, CHP has served
over 206,000 people, including senior citizens, women and children in
transition, formerly homeless people, single female heads-of-household, and other individuals of low-income
and low-wealth.

Our activities include sustainable development,
architectural design, construction, energy services, homeownership
facilitation, and housing management. These efforts, in concert with public
and private partnerships, enable us to create and sustain communities of
choice that promote vitality in neighborhoods, foster wealth-building for
individuals, and contribute to a better environment for future generations.
