In 2011, CHP:
• Educated and trained over 3,700 participants on
affordable housing and energy efficiency practices
• Designed 259 units of affordable, sustainable housing
• Rehabilitated 269 units and constructed 84 new units of
affordable multifamily rental housing
• Provided weatherization services to 1,078 families
• Provided heating and cooling assistance for 622
households
• Provided emergency home repairs to 69 households
• Assisted 22 families in becoming first-time homeowners
• Educated 36 families on buying a home and 17 on
maintaining their homes
• Counseled 197 households on buying a home
• Sold 16 homes through CHP’s Realty services, including
five CHP-developed homes
• Provided professional property management services to
nearly 5,000 households
• Delivered 61,480 units of resident service programming to
our residents
• Coordinated over $400,000 in services to our residents
from local community organizations
• Coordinated 1,212 volunteers to commit time and
expertise valued at $185,742 to our residents and
communities
• Prevented 245 evictions – ensuring family stability while also
saving an estimated $980,000 in turnover costs
• Trained and placed 37 participants in jobs in the energy
efficiency and renewable energy sector
• Leveraged over $23 million in investment in our
communities and created an estimated 220 jobs in construction and related industries

Community Housing Partners (CHP) is a 501(c)(3) community
development corporation that serves the needs of low-wealth and low-income
individuals and families in the southeast. Our mission is to create
affordable, green, sustainable housing opportunities and services for
the people and communities we serve.
Since 1975, CHP has served
over 206,000 people, including senior citizens, women and children in
transition, formerly homeless people, single female heads-of-household, and other individuals of low-income
and low-wealth.

Our activities include sustainable development,
architectural design, construction, energy services, homeownership
facilitation, and housing management. These efforts, in concert with public
and private partnerships, enable us to create and sustain communities of
choice that promote vitality in neighborhoods, foster wealth-building for
individuals, and contribute to a better environment for future generations.
